Stellar X Studios is an independent film company founded by Alexander Rivera, a Hispanic-American director, writer, and producer from Sanford, Florida. Built on passion, creativity, and ambition, the studio thrives on crafting bold, thought-provoking narratives that challenge the limits of independent filmmaking.

Rivera’s journey into film began while attending Florida State University, where he balanced his academic pursuits with a growing love for storytelling. Initially on a path to medical school, he found filmmaking to be a different, yet equally powerful, way to connect with and impact others. After creating a series of short films, he took a leap of faith, directing his debut feature, Retrospection, just a year after his first short film.

Shot in Central Florida on a modest $2,500 budget, Retrospection is a sci-fi thriller that explores themes of memory, forgiveness, and purpose. The project, brought to life by a diverse and dedicated team of young filmmakers, embodies Stellar X Studios' core belief: great films are defined by the people behind them, not the budget or resources.
